Before your portrait session, we’ll have a short phone call to discuss an in-person consultation. We’ll chat about your goals for your session, and how you envision using and displaying your images.

Next, we’ll meet, and design your session. If you are a maternity and newborn client, this is when you’ll try on the beautiful gowns available to you to wear during your session. We’ll browse my newborn prop library, including fabrics, outfits, hair pretties, knits, and wraps. We’ll also review color preferences and selections.
If your portrait session will be outdoors, we’ll choose a location for your session. I have a list of suggested locations, or, if you have a specific location in mind, I’d love to see if it will be a good fit for your portraits.

Session day will be free from stress, and filled with light and love!
If you are a maternity client, makeup is included in your maternity session, with my compliments. My professional partners will give you a flawless, fully customized look.

Shortly after our session, we’ll see each other again for your gallery reveal. Together we’ll design your walls, order your breathtaking new products, and place your orders for print and production.
When your orders arrive, I’ll personally inspect each product to ensure it meets my standards before you receive your fine art creations handmade just for you.

Your maternity session may take place at a private location, such as your home or my studio. During your session you can bare as little or as much of your belly and body as you wish. If you prefer a location outdoors, we will select wardrobe options and a location that are meaningful to you; these images will provide wonderful imagery for the ‘before’ pages in your Baby Book!

Siblings - both two and four-legged - are more than welcome as well as your spouse or partner. This is an important time for your family! We’ll work together to capture individual and family images that tell your story. Someday, when these images belong to your children and the moments captured have long since passed, it will be important that those you love most were present.
Can I include my children and spouse/partner in my maternity session?

I encourage you to book your maternity session as soon as possible, once your due date is established. Maternity sessions are ideally completed between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. If you are carrying multiples, the 6 to 7 month mark is best. You want to have a fabulous, fully developed bump, and don’t want to run the risk of delivering your new addition during our time together. You’ll also have more mobility for poses.

One of the benefits of a custom studio maternity session is that you will have access to my studio wardrobe. We’ll work together to personalize your style for your studio maternity session. This takes the guesswork out of your wardrobe questions and makes our time together fun and relaxed! Complimentary makeup is also included with your investment.
